Jinja is about 80kilometers from Kampala, that about 2 to 3 hour drive. Arrival to Jinja means crossing the longest river in the world, crossing Mabira forest one of the main forest catchment areas for Lake Victoria. In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Jinja with a stopover at Ssezibwa waterfalls. Ssezibwa falls area is also one of the many destinations for birding in Uganda. For an avid bird watcher, this gives you an opportunity to explore some of the common and rare species of birds. After you will proceed to Mabira Forest for zip lining or Mabira canopy.
Experiencing the Mabira Forest canopy, the first of its kind in Uganda. The Mabira Forest Canopy Super Skyway is a canopy “zip-line” system that sends you soaring between the tallest trees in the rainforest. You will be led across a network of 5 zip-lines that stretches 250 meters across River Musamya. Have lunch and proceed to your booked hotel in Jinja for dinner and overnight stay.
